1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the RoofKnockers platform operated by Dibb Media LLC. It supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP can result in suspension or termination of your account, removal of offending content, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
2. Intended Use
RoofKnockers is built for legitimate roofing sales and supplement work, including:
- Roofing contractors managing door-to-door canvassing operations.
- Roofing agencies overseeing multiple contractor teams or locations.
- Sales teams tracking knocks, leads, appointments, and pipeline.
- Contractors analyzing insurance estimates for legitimate supplement opportunities.
- Generating professional supplement reports backed by building code citations.
3. Lawful Canvassing Conduct
When you use RoofKnockers to plan or log canvassing activity, you agree to:
- Honor all posted "No Soliciting," "No Trespassing," and "Do Not Knock" signs.
- Comply with municipal door-to-door solicitation ordinances, including any required permits, allowed hours, and registry obligations.
- Respect any homeowner request to be added to your internal Do Not Knock list and refrain from re-knocking those addresses.
- Identify yourself and your company truthfully when speaking to a homeowner.
- Comply with applicable telemarketing laws (including the TCPA and state equivalents) for any phone, SMS, or messaging follow-up.
4. Prohibited Activities
Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Submitting knowingly false, fabricated, or inflated supplement claims to insurance carriers.
- Manufacturing damage findings, building code citations, or pricing data.
- Presenting automated analysis output as a professional engineering assessment when it is not.
- Using reports generated by the Service to deceive homeowners, adjusters, or carriers.
- Misrepresenting your identity, company, license status, or relationship to a carrier.
Data Abuse
- Uploading personal information about individuals without a legitimate business purpose or required consent.
- Using the knock logger or location features to surveil or stalk any person.
- Scraping, harvesting, or bulk-extracting data from the platform using automated tools or undocumented APIs.
- Uploading data belonging to another RoofKnockers customer.
- Reselling, redistributing, or otherwise commercializing data obtained through the Service.
Platform Abuse
- Attempting to access accounts or data outside your organization.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Service without prior written authorization.
- Interfering with, overloading, or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure.
- Uploading malware, viruses, or executable payloads.
- Circumventing rate limits, access controls, seat caps, or usage restrictions.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code or models.
Harassment and Harmful Content
- Using the Service to harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against any person.
- Uploading content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes the rights of others.
- Recording or transmitting audio or video of any individual without legally required consent.
Commercial Abuse
- Reselling access to the Service or sharing credentials outside your organization without a written agreement.
- Using the Service to build a competing product or to benchmark for a competing product.
- Operating multiple accounts to evade plan limits, billing, or suspension.
5. Enforcement
If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a written warning and request corrective action.
- Remove or quarantine offending content.
- Temporarily suspend your account pending investigation.
- Permanently terminate your account without refund.
- Report the activity to law enforcement or affected third parties where appropriate.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.
6. Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is using the Service in violation of this AUP, please report it to support@roofknockers.com. Please include as much detail as you can so we can investigate.
